New Rule Allows No More than Three Flies in Nanchang’s Public Toilets

A new rule in Beijing permitting no more than two flies in the city's public toilets has sparked fierce debate online and aroused much publicity. However, Beijing is not the only city to set new hygiene standards for public toilets; Nanchang's rules allow for no more than three flies in public toilets at any one time—one fly more than Beijing. However, Nanchang's rules are not seriously enforced and many toilets there are riddled with flies. Apparently, the trial period of this new 'standard' is one year, and is seen my many as a test of the authorities' management ability.
