National Day Traveling: Additional Train Service between Hefei and Shanghai

Beginning September 6th, trains connecting Hefei to Shanghai will increase to 12 per day in anticipation of high number of travelers for National Day holidays in October.

The newly added train servicing the Hefei – Shanghai route is numbered D5465 and will make stops at only six stations. It will not be stopping at Nanjing Railway Station. Schedule for D5456 is as follows; 16:30 departure from Hefei, arriving at 17:58 in Zhenjiang, 18:23 in Changzhou, 18:33 in Qishuyan, 18:53 in Wuxi, 19:10 in Suzhou, 19:24 in Kunshan South and finally arriving at the last destination at 19:45 in Shanghai Hongqiao. Train number D5466 will be the added service from the Shanghai direction. It's schedule is as follows; 12:15 departure from Shanghai Hongqiao, stopping at eight stations, including Kunshan South, Wuxi, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Quanjiao, Feidong and it will arrive 16:06 in Hefei.

Also, D5477 train from Hefei to Shanghai has adjusted time and travel route during the holiday. Departure time from Hefei will be changed from 8:58 to 9:04 and the train will not be stopping at Quanjiao station.  The one-way trip will take approximately 3 hours.
