Nanjing’s Busiest Bus Station Has 37 Routes Running Through It Daily

Viral internet sensations are a big part of daily life here in China. The latest phenomenon to make the round on the interweb is ‘Nanjing’s most formidable bus station’. The station, which was temporarily set up by posting many different route boards in one spot, deals with 37 daily bus routes simultaneously. If the buses all arrived at the same time and lined up one behind the other, the total length of the automobile-Congo-line would more than 260 meters long.

The station, which can be found at the east square of Nanjing Railway Station, has become very popular and also dangerous at times. There is also a massive crowd of people waiting for one of the many routes. In fear of missing their bus, people have begun standing in the middle of the road, resulting in drivers having to swerve around them: an all round terrible situation.
