Lukou International Airport (NKG) in Nanjing is located 35 kilometers southeast of the city center. NKG International Airport serves the city and its surrounding areas with domestic and international destinations. Its major connections include metropolitan cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Jinan, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Guilin, Wuhan, Xian, Zhengzhou, Lanzhou, Shenyang and Dalian. Its international destinations include major Asian countries including Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, as well as services to the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong and Macao.

Commuting to and from the airport is fairly economical. The airport can be reached by taxis and shuttle buses. Traveling to and from the airport by taxi usually costs around 120 RMB one-way, while traveling by shuttle bus is the most economical way of traveling to and from the airport.
