Nanchang Travel Tips

Nanchang enjoys four distinct seasons, though spring and fall only last for a couple of weeks. Average temperatures in January are 5.7℃ and the coldest temperatures dip to around -3.9℃. Summers in Hefei can be boiling: the average temperature for July is 28.6℃ but highs of up to 38.7℃ are possible. Nanchang has about 20 days per year with temperatures above 35℃.

The best time to travel to Nanchang is during the fall; however, those planning to visit the nearby mountains and waterfalls best go in summer when these scenic spots offer cool respite from the heat. Those wishing to travel to Lushan are advised to bring a long-sleeved coat in summer and a thick winter coat in the fall.
