Nanchang Temperature Hits Annual High

Nanchang used to be called “Stove City”, and this year the city is earning its reputation as maximum temperatures reached 33.8℃ earlier this week, the hottest day so far in Nanchang this year. During the May Day Holiday, the average maximum temperature in Jiangxi Province was 32.4℃, the hottest recorded temperature since 1988.

China’s central and eastern areas are forecasted to experience a large range of rainfall from west to east. According to the latest weather forecast, the Yangtze River area will receive heavy rains in the next three days; heavy rainfalls may be accompanied by thunderstorms, strong winds and other convective weather.
