It is reported that in 2011 the total mileage of high-speed rails in China will reach 13 thousand kilometers with a total operation mileage of 4,715 kilometers. High-speed rail routes opening in 2011 include the following: Beijing to Shanghai, Harbin to Dalian, Beijing to Shijiazhuang, Shijiazhuang to Wuhan, Guangzhou to Shenzhen (Hong Kong), Tianjin to Qinhuangdao, Nanjing to Hangzhou, Wuhan to Yichang, etc.
