Mobile Phones Can Now Be Used to Pay for Buses in Shenzhen
Apr 27, 2010 By eChinacities.com

On April 15th, a major mobile service provider in Shenzhen announced that it is now possible for residents to start using/swiping their mobile phones as a way of paying for transit fares when getting on buses. Right now, there are three different bus routes where you can pay fares with your mobiles, and these are bus routes 11, 21, and 217.

How do you start using/swiping your mobile phones to pay for different things while on the move? You need to bring your mobile and a valid piece of identification and apply to open up a service for using your mobiles to pay with the local mobile service provider. There is no need to change phones or cell phone numbers for this service.
