On November 17th at 19:00, Europe’s largest electronics market Media Markt opened its doors to its first China store in Shanghai’s Huaihai Zhonglu. Opening day inside the superstore was a sea of people; folks from all over Shanghai came to browse the goods. The store was instantly extremely crowded which forced Media Markt to close for the day after only one and a half hours. Media Markt’s slogan of “the lowest prices in the city” was one of the main reasons it attracted such a large crowd.
