Marketing to China's Seniors - Opportunities Ahead
Jun 13, 2010 By eChinacities.com

According to event organizers:

By 2025, China's senior population is expected to increase to 500 million people, up from 300 million in 2010. They will boast large expendable incomes and affinity towards brands. Today, few marketers are developing products and services targeted to the "gray" set, constituting a lost opportunity that will only get bigger with the rising number of aging Chinese.
AmCham Shanghai's Marketing Committee is proud to present Tom Doctoroff, JWT's North Asia Area Director and Greater China CEO, for a discussion about key strategies for marketing to seniors in China. Mr. Doctoroff will highlight the fundamental tension between fear of displacement in an ever-changing modern world and titillation by new-found freedoms and broadened horizons that lies at the heart of elderly existence. He will also outline six strategies marketers can employ to market products and services to seniors. This event will feature case studies from China and around the world and will reveal how to capitalize on the growing seniors market.
