Magnitude-4.0 Earthquake Strikes Outside of Tianjin on June 18

According to the China Earthquake Administration, a magnitude-4.0 earthquake occurred in Tianjin's northern Baodi District (天津市宝坻区) and Tangshan's western Yutian County (河北省唐山市玉田县) at 03:05 on June 18. The epicentre of the earthquake was 39.6 degrees north latitude, 117.6 degrees east longitude, nine kilometres underground. The earthquake was clearly felt by many Beijing residents.
