With over RMB 3.5 billion of investment Shenyang's subway Line One is set to open by the end of 2009, with over 60% of line two completed. Line One will stretch westward as far as Tiexi Square, covering a total area of 15.3 Km and will be open to traffic by the National Day holiday on October 1st.
