The Li Yang family's explosive divorce last year attracted the widespread attention of many in the online community. At present Li Yang’s ex-wife Kim has revealed via Weibo that she is still as bogged down as ever with the divorce, stating that she and her children must move out of their family home because the house is being sold. Ex-wife Kim has also exposed Li Yang’s text messages, in which he explicitly calls Kim a greedy American, simply toying with China’s media and court systems.
On September 13, Kim expressed via Weibo that every week she has been reporting to the law department, and that in order to execute a divorce, the courts are insisting she sell the house she currently resides in with her three daughters. “I’ve been in dealing with the Chinese law system for the past two years, the whole time the logic of China’s law system has eluded me. On August 30th, the courts prepared to auction off Li Yang’s property; On September 13th, I’ve become the type of person who wants to move out of their own home. What on earth happened in the middle? Transparency cannot guarantee justice, but I want to try it. In my book the words ‘give up’ don’t exist,” Kim stated.
Kim has also brought to light Li Yang’s text messages, those of which include Li Yang’s words, “We will go to your house in protest! You think you can cheat everyone, trick the Chinese!”, “You greedy American! You’re playing with China’s media and courts!” The Chinese people are too kind, letting your kind of filth hang around here in China!”
On September 16, Kim took to Weibo claiming that Li Yang has once again disrupted her life. She also stated that every day Li Yang raves at her, insults her. “He harasses me every day, insulting me, threatening me saying: ‘I’m on my way to your house!’ I don’t like writing on Weibo, I don’t like accepting interviews. I like a quiet life. But now that’s impossible.”

No Mr. Li, it is you who's the greedy one. Add to that a weak and insecure little man who's only able to beat women and children. A scam artist who's legacy is thankfully fast fading, ... a legacy dependant on his wife's hard work and design. All you did was leap around like the performing monkey you are. You happen to be Chinese, but the truth is, were you of any other nationality, you'd still be a sad excuse for a man.
