A new train route from Lhasa to Xining is scheduled to launch in June 2013 and operate until mid-October. Trains will depart every four days, have a 600-person capacity with hard and soft sleepers available. Full-time tour guides and free check ups from doctors specializing in altitude sickness will be available as well.
