There are tens of bus routes operating in Lhasa which usually cost 1 RMB per trip and depart every 10-20 minutes. Buses starting with the number ‘3’ cost 2 RMB however and can be hailed down at various segments along the road. Bus numbers 1 and 2 drive past Norbulingka Palace, routes 301 and 302 take you to the Drepung Monastery and route 5 goes to Sera Monastery. Services start in the late morning and finish in the early evening.
