Kunming International Half-Marathon Kicks Off May 25

The 2013 Kunming Highland International Half-Marathon is set to kick off on May 25. There will be three categories for the event, featuring the 21 km half-marathon, and two “health runs”, 10 km and 4 km long respectively. The 10 km health run is also a competition, while the 4 km run will be a non-competitive run open to the public. The event will begin and end in front of the Conference Center of the Kunming City Administrative Center.

The winner of the half-marathon will receive a prize of 6,000 USD, while the male and female winners of the 10 km health run winning 6,000 and 5,000 RMB. Currently, there are 529 runners signed up to the marathon, with 429 men and 100 women ready to compete.

Start line add: Kunming City Administrative Center, 1 Jinxiu Dajie, Chenggong District, Kunming
Getting there: take bus 203, 207, or 208 to the City Administrative Center (Hexie Lu) (市政府和谐路)
