Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (TNA) is the largest airport in the province, the second largest in eastern China, and the hub for all air traffic through the region. There are over 50 domestic air routes, including daily flights to Beijing (1 hr), Shanghai (1.5 hrs), Chongqing (2 hrs), Guangzhou (2.5 hrs), Chengdu (2 hrs 20 minutes), Qingdao (40 minutes), Haikou (4.5 hrs), Hangzhou (1.5 hrs), Nanjing (1 hr) and a whole host of other cities.

Flights also leave here for international destinations including Seoul, Bangkok, Moscow and Tokyo.

The airport is around 33 kilometers from the city, and is easily accessible by shuttle bus (20 RMB and taxi (around 100 RMB). Allow one hour for the bus ride or 45 minutes for the taxi.

Airport Shuttle Bus:
A shuttle bus (20 RMB) between the airport and Jinan operates frequent services: buses for the airport leave from the Yuquan Simpson Hotel in downtown Jinan every hour from 6:00 to 18:00. Direct airport shuttles are available from Meidele Hotel, during rush hour this shuttle runs continuously on very short intervals.

The Jinan South Railway Station also has buses regularly to the airport from 06:00 to 19:00, available every hour on the hour with direct service.

Buses leave the airport at various times dependent on flight arrivals and terminate at the long-distance bus terminal.

Buses to Weifang: Six buses a day leave the airport, as part of a service running between Jinan and Weifang. It takes about two and a half hours to run the entire line. Jinan airport has many different shuttle services to other cities within Shandong including 18 buses to Zibo, 12 Buses to Dongying (via Guangrao), eight buses to Tai’an, eight buses to Jining (via Qufu), Yanzhou, five buses to Qingzhou, six buses to Bingzhou, six buses to Dezhou, seven buses to Liaocheng, four buses to Shouguang and four buses to Laiwu.
