Inter IKEA, one of the world’s top retailers (which owns the IKEA trademark), recently announced plans to build its first Chinese shopping centre in Wuxi. The Inter IKEA Wuxi Shopping Centre will be located on Yunlin Street in Xishan District, and is set to open near the end of 2013.

Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, Inter IKEA ranked 37th among the “Forbes Top 50 Most Valuable Brands” last year. It has already built 30 shopping centres in 14 countries worldwide. Three hundred million USD has been invested in the Inter IKEA Wuxi Shopping Mall, which will feature over 400 international brands, include catering, shopping and entertainment options, and will be equipped with 5,800 parking spaces.
