India Will Have More People than China by 2022

India’s population should surpass China’s in 2022 making it the most populous country in the world according to a recent CNNMoney article. By 2020, India will have 900 million people of working age and the average age of its labor force will drop to 29. Two years later, India should overtake China’s to become the most populous country in the world.

However, unless India vigorously improves the quality of education available to its people, a large part of India’s working population will be low-paid unskilled laborers.

Ernst & Young recently reported that only 2% of workers in India receive formal training. In contrast, 68% of workers in the United Kingdom, 96% of workers in Korea, and 75% of workers in Germany receive formal training. India needs to train more workers, and quickly.

However, systems of formal training must be reformed as well. A 2015 survey by Aspiring Minds found that 80% of Indian engineering graduates were “unemployable.”

I would imagine that having an uneducated workforce could be good for their economy. I mean I know next to nothing about the economy but historically having cheap uneducated workers seems to be a good thing for the country. Look at the American and Chinese rise on a world stage. Both seem to coincide with the countries having cheap, uneducated work forces.

India is a good place but yeah just for retards... I like it though great landscapes/ ancient sites but Indians really suck- no offense.... I don't think India can surpass china in terms of gdp/economic growth of quality of life... take a fact 50% of Dubai's population- Indians.. Canada- every third person is an Indian. South Africa- more than 25 million. America's / Britain Indians are the next biggest colony after chinese... So it's for sure that this country still needs 100 years to be regarded as first world country.

This is the real reason why China went to a 2 child policy. But these 2 countries should seriously stop reproducing. The rest of the world should limit emigration from these countries and force them to deal with their own.

India's economy is growing faster than China's as of now, and the population is much younger.
