Hohhot has over 50 bus routes that cover most of the city. The network opens at 06:00, and closes around 20:00. Visitors are advised to prepare their fare before boarding, as buses do not have conductors.
The Number 23 bus is a tourist line, which starts at the Railway Station continuing to Gongzhufu Park and Wusutu National Forest Park. A second tourist line passes the Inner Mongolia Museum, Qingcheng Park Wutasi and Xilituzhao Temple.
