The high-speed train service between Shenzhen and Jinan, in Shandong province, is expected to start at the end of this year.

The trip between the two cities will take an estimated 10 hours and 30 minutes. The tickets will cost 900 RMB for a second-class seat, and an estimated 1,400 RMB for a first-class seat. The train will pass the Beijing-Shanghai line, the Hefei-Wuhan line, and the Wuhan-Guangzhou line before reaching Shenzhen.

The previous journey, on the K1282 and K1688 between Shenzhen and Jinan, used to take up to 27 hours: this new high-speed train will save everyone a lot of time.
