Hefei's nightlife had been gradually becoming more vibrant and modern. Apart from bars and clubs, there are a number of comprehensive 'entertainment cities' that have KTV, cultural shows, billiards and dance floors. These have become popular in the city, with quite a few of them cropping up in recent years, heavily favored by locals. If this does not sound like your cup of tea, there are a number of normal bars favored by expats. Foremost among these is Madison, a bar with decent live music and good drinks.
