Hefei-Lanzhou Charter Flights from July to August

It has been disclosed that charter flights between Hefei and Lanzhou will be in service starting in July. Travel agencies in town have already planned various tour routes, and the new tours will be marketed starting next week.

According to the general manager of a travel agency in Anhui province, Hefei to Lanzhou summer charter flights are scheduled to begin service on July 14th. The twice-weekly flights are on a Airbus-320 that can accommodate up to 156 passengers. Once charter flights are started, Hefei residents can opt to tour famous attractions in western China, including Heavenly Mountain Heavenly Lake (Tianshan Tianchi), Dunhuang, Jiuzhaigou and more. The charter flight program will end on August 25th.

The various tour routes planned by travel agencies to complement the new charter flight include an 8-day round trip tour to Lanzhou, Turpan, Heavenly Mountain Heavenly Lake, Jiayu Pass, and Dunhuang; an 8-day round trip tour to Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Lanzhou, and Labrang Monastery; and an 8-day Tibetan culture tour to Lanzhou, Qinghai Lake, Lhasa, Shigatse, and filming location for the movie Red River Valley. Prices range from 4,000 to 5,000 RMB and signups for the different routes are scheduled to start next week.
