Harrods Department Store to Enter Shanghai Markets
May 13, 2010 By eChinacities.com

Following on the heels of Marks & Spencer, UK department store chain Harrods has started speculating about entering the Shanghai markets. According to recent reports in The Financial Times, Qatar Holding acquired Harrods for 1.5 billion GBP last week and is considering making a move to Shanghai as its next big step. If Harrods does move to Shanghai, the upscale area at the intersection of Jiangxi Middle Rd and East Nanjing Rd is a likely location for situating its flagship store.
