Despite staying tight-lipped about subway line 1’s official opening date, ticket prices for the new line have recently been confirmed. Prices will be calculated by distance, with the lowest tickets costing 2 RMB and the highest tickets costing 8 RMB. When the line opens, passengers will be able to purchase swipe cards, which will entitle them to a 9% discounts on fares. When it finally opens, the line will serve 34 stations from Xianghu station to Linping station.
