In an attempt to deal with high numbers of travellers in the post-Chinese New Year period, Hangzhou’s subway line 1 will extend its operations to 16 hours a day between February 26 and March 3. The first train of the day will depart half an hour earlier at 06:30 and the last train will leave at 22:00 (as opposed to 20:30). During rush hour, trains are also expected to arrive at 5-minute intervals.
