Hangzhou Becomes China’s First City with Free Outdoor Public Wifi

On October 30th, the city of Hangzhou announced the opening of China's first free citywide public wifi network, covering 220 sq. km of the city with 2,000 access points. According to the vice-president of network provider Wasu, the city plans to continue to expand the network, for a total of 3,000 access points by the end of next year.
