The 12th annual China Hangzhou West Lake International Expo opens on October 16th. Opening ceremony fireworks will be held that Saturday night. Qianjiang bridges No. 2 and 3 will be the main locations for watching the firework show. Six venues, including Wushan Plaza, Canal Plaza and Xicheng Plaza will stage gala performances to celebrate the kickoff of the event.
Each weekend night, for the duration of the Expo, performances by the Hangzhou Municipal Performance Company have been organized at seven different plazas across the city. The theme of the shows will be Happy Expo and each show will last about 1.5 hour.
There are also more than 100 different exhibits and shows included as part of the Hangzhou Expo. The exhibits will showcase information about various industries, including tourism, trade, technological and cultural developments.
