Hangzhou "0 Kilometer" sign sculpture is expected to appear before May Day
Mar 27, 2009 By eChinacities.com

A 1000-year sedimentary clay section and a 100-year metal origin will indicate geographical position, context and history of Hangzhou under transparent glass. However, a stainless steel ruler, marked "1913 to 2009", connecting the origin with the stele, will record the flourishing and developing of the city.

Yesterday, the design model of Hangzhou "0 Kilometer" sign (i.e. Ziwei Garden coordinate origin) sculpture was exhibited to citizens by the West Lake Branch of Hangzhou In time (at the entrance of Yan'an Road). Based on citizens' opinions and suggestions to improve the program, it will be constructed soon. It is expected to complete before "May Day" this year.
