Hanggai Band will perform at Hohhot’s NiNG Livehouse on December 22. Since forming in 2004, Hanggai’s unique blend of Mongolian folk music and more modern styles has brought them much international recognition. They’ve performed in nearly 40 countries at such major music festivals at Bonnaroo in the United States and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. In 2010, British music magazine MOJO ranked their album No. 6 in the “World Music” category.
