On May 20th, the first H&M store in Guangzhou opened in Zhonghua Plaza, staging a huge sales promotion for its grand opening. The promotion was well received by local shoppers; queues started two hours before the store opened. Things start to get rowdy as more crowds gathered in the afternoon. Eager consumers had to wait for an hour or more before they could even enter the new H&M outlet. Inside things were hectic – frantic customers were flinging around clothing and rushing to get into the changing rooms.
