Guilin Lijiang River Tour to Shorten Boat Route Due to Ongoing Drought
Mar 24, 2010 By eChinacities.com

The prolonged drought has caused water in the Lijiang River of Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to continually recede and dry up, thus as of March 16th, Guilin Ministry of Marine Affairs has published a bulletin to adjust the current boat tour route of Lijiang. The Boat tour route from Mopan mountain to Yangshuo will be shortened; passengers boarding at Yangshuo Haidi bay will travel to Jiumahua mountain, then double back and return to Haidi Bay for entire trip. The new adjustments mean that the famous 63km Zhujiang River trans Yangshu boat tour will be shortened considerably – much to the dismay of tourists.
