Guardian Report Reveals Chinese Gender Imbalance Leads to Vietnamese Bride Trafficking
Jul 02, 2014 By eChinacities.com

The Guardian published a report over the weekend that said that China’s severe gender imbalance is a major factor that has led to the trafficking of women from Vietnam and other bordering nations.

Micheal Brosowski, from the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, has stated that Vietnamese girls have been sold for up to 5,000 USD. According to the Guardian, some were even sold by their own family members, such as Kiab, who was tricked into travelling to a border town on her sixteenth birthday by her own brother; she was told she was being taken to a birthday party-instead she was taken over the border and sold as a bride to a Chinese man.

The problem is not only prevalent in Vietnam, but humans rights organizations have reported similar problems in Laos , Cambodia, North Korea and Burma- particularly in the Northern states where there is little regulation on the borders between the two countries.

Kiab managed to escape and is now in a shelter in the border town of Lao Cai, but the problem of gender imbalance in China is only going to worsen: it is estimated that by 2020, there will be 24 million ‘spare’ Chinese men unable to find wives.

Just think about the potential market for these 24 million Chinese men unable to find wives! Pornography, sex toys, prostitution, video games, brides-for-sale, massage parlors, you name it! Better start thinking and start planning! This is a business opportunity waiting to be exploited!

Yes, I know about this. Happens here in Anhui province. Cambodian and Vietnamese girls as sold to Chinese men in the rural areas. I see them in immigration once in a while, I see their passports, can't speak any Chinese, just doing sign language with their man. Chinese immigration allows them in, not even illegal, because legally they are married in China. And it is well know in rural farm areas, you can't get a bride just buy one.
