A popular venue featuring Chaozhou and Guangzhou food.  Offers the most popular dishes at affordable prices.  Locals boast it as the most popular place.

Panfu and Liuhua Area -- Panfu Rd., Renmin Bei Rd. and Liuhua Rd. 盘福路、流花路
Located around the famous Liuhua Expo Centre with medium and high profile Cantonese restaurants.  Recommendations include Nanhai Yucun, Xintaile, Huacheng, Liuhua Porridge Circle and Dakeyi.

Huanshi Dong -- Huanshi Dong Rd, Jianshe Liu Rd. and Taojin Rd. 环市东路
The hotel-packing CBD gives connoisseurs lots of choices at high prices.  Best food district area to for a business dinner. Taojin Rd is a traditional food and bar street with many western-style and Hunanese restaurants. Jianshe Liu Rd. features peaceful blocks of stylish cafés, bars and small restaurants on its west.  Best fares in the area include Macau Street, Peach Blossom, Liyuan, Ah-li-shan and Banana Leaf.

Shang Xia Jiu Streets 上下九街
This food paradise offers traditional Cantonese dishes, Dim Sum, snacks and desserts with attractive pricing.  Make sure you try Xiguan Renjia (at Liwan Plaza), Liwan Famous Food (in Xiajiu St.), Nanxin Canteen, Oucheng Ji, and Qingping Restaurant.

Shamian 沙面
The tropical Island of Shamian offers typical Cantonese and Southeast Asian food. Highly recommended venues include the restaurant in White Swan Hotel, Xinlizhi Wan, Kiumei and Victory Restaurant (top-notched Cantonese delicacies); Lan-Kwai-Fong (is a special treat for connoisseurs).

Tiyu Dong Rd (Northern place) 体育东路
Boasts the grand of all when it comes to food. Japanese, Sichuanese, Cantonese and Portuguese styles and all types of prices.  While here, try eating at least at any of the following venues:  Zhongsen Mingcai (Japanese), Chuanguo Yanyi (Sichuanese), Macau Street (Portuguese) and Guangzhou Restaurant.

Tiyu Xi Rd. 体育西路
Tiyu Xi Rd offers different kind of eateries.  Restaurants on the northern side of Tianhe Road serve companies in the vicinity and boasted as high profile restaurants.  South of Tianhe Rd. Restaurants opposite to the Western Entrance of Teemall, specializes in Sichuanese, Taiwanese, Cantonese cuisine and boasted as relatively economic restaurants.   The ones on Yueken Road feature foods from Zhanjiang, Haka and Chaoshan Style; Tiyu Xi Heng St to Liuyun Circle mainly specializes on Sichuanese and Northern China styles and is reasonably priced.

Southern Downtown (Haizhu)
Jiangnan Xi Rd and Baoye Rd. (Eastern place) are rows and rows of small and big restaurants and café featuring local delicacies, western and north-eastern and snacks from many places.  You try dishes like Jiangnan Ginseng Chick, Houjie Lai Noodles, Mixed-sauce Rice Noodles and Shuang Pi Nai (Double-Skin Milk)  While in the area, we highly recommended eateries and cafes include Nangang Seafood Restaurant, Jiangnan Yucun, Greenery Café, Dongbei Ren, Dongting Tucai Restaurant and Qilin Ge (A local favorite Dapaidang for late-night dinner).
