Guangdong Star-Rated Hotels to Stop Providing Customers with Single Use Items

Guangdong Tourism Bureau has announced in a bulletin on March 22nd that starting April 1st, every star-rated hotel in the province is to stop providing single-use everyday items, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, combs, shampoos, body wash products, soaps, shower caps, etc. It is stated in the bulletin that starting April 1st, all hotels are to provide single-use everyday items only when requested by customers and post signs in the lobby and in rooms to notify customers of the change. After a period of adjustment (6 months), the hotels are then to provide the items for a fee.
