Mianle High Speed Rail, and travel to surrounding attractions including Mount Emei and Leshan. On August 22nd, ground was broken on the metro station located near Terminal 2 of the Shuangliu Airport.
When construction on the line is completed – the current finishing date is March 31st in 2012 –
the newly completed metro station, together with Shuangliu Airport, will be one of the largest hubs for handling passenger traffic in southwest China, accommodating an estimated 4.5 million people each year.
