Three brand new iPad tablet PCs were found in the baggage of an Irish passenger when Ningbo airport customs conducted routine checks. Ningbo airport customs imposed 2, 000 RMB parcel tax on the two spare iPad PCs which are beyond the basic use of the passenger in accordance with the relevant regulations and tariffs. The passenger said that of all the three iPads, two are for his Chinese friends and one for his own use. He didn’t expect to be taxed. As for those passengers who purchased portable ipad PCs, tax will be imposed on them based on the principle of reasonable quantity for personal use, Ningbo Airport Customs said.
