Just days before the Chinese New Year, flight tickets from Nanchang to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen are still selling with huge discounts. From January 20th, the Shenzhen Airlines "red eye" flight from Nanchang to Guangzhou is only 110 RMB (plus 120 RMB for fuelling and airport construction fees). That's the same price as a hard sleeper seat on the Nanchang-Guangzhou "K" train!
On New Year's Eve, flight ticket prices drop even further, to 95 RMB. In addition to these deals, from January 20th, you can also fly to Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen and other big cities for cheap. Nanchang-Shanghai tickets costs 135 RMB (plus 120 RMB), and tickets to Beijing and Shenzhen each cost 246 RMB (plus 120 RMB).
