Flight Prices Peak in Nanning Due to Shanghai World Expo
Jun 01, 2010 By eChinacities.com

Starting from the second half of May, the market for Nanning airplane tickets has experienced a boost due to the ongoing Expo event in Shanghai. Right now, prices for most flights out of Nanning are being sold at a 20% to 30% discount. Very few passengers are able to enjoy the usual 50% discounts that were available not too long ago. According to a staff member with the local airline ticket sales agency, because of the Expo event in Shanghai, flights from Nanning to eastern parts of China, especially those to Shanghai and Hangzhou, have peaked in demand recently. As a result, those tour groups of 10 people or more that were able to enjoy low price tickets at as much as 55 - 60% off were now holding steady at 50% off. Meanwhile, individual passengers are only able to enjoy 20 -30% off on their flight tickets recently.
