First Museum Featuring Shoe Culture in China to Open on May 18th

Huaxia Shoe Culture Museum, the first museum to feature evolution of shoe designs and cultural items related to different periods of history in China, is due to open to the public on May 18th. The museum will exhibit presentations about the development and evolution of shoe designs and manufacture in different historic periods – with over a thousand different displays and presentations. Visitors can also expect live performances and presentations where artisans showcase their craft and skills in shoe-making right there in the museum. Presentations will be in both Chinese and English to accommodate non-Chinese speakers.
