Facebook Looking to Open Office in China?
May 14, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Social media giant, Facebook, is looking to open up a marketing office in China, according to multiple sources. The office looks likely to be in Beijing’s Fortune Financial Center in a move that would be a first for the website as Facebook is still very much censored on the mainland.

Word on the street is that the move signals Facebook’s intent in creating a Chinese version of the popular social sharing site, but that that is still a little way down the pipeline. The office would serve as a sales center for Mark Zuckerberg’s company to slowly inch its way into the country from within, as opposed to from Hong Kong as it‘s currently doing.
