Facebook said once again that it plans to re-enter the Chinese market at the company’s annual shareholding meeting this past Tuesday. The world’s largest social network is still banned in China.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg said that Facebook will continue to study the Chinese market and see what happens. Sandberg was in China this past week.

Sandberg said that she met with many of Facebook’s top clients in China who purchase advertising on the platform for users outside the country. Facebook has no office in China, but sells advertisements to Chinese companies.

Facebook has repeatedly expressed interest in entering the Chinese market, it looks like the company will not get approval from the Chinese government anytime soon.
