In 2008, the McKinsey Global Institute released the research report Preparing for China's Urban Billion. Two years later, in a country moving at lightning speed, one of the report’s key authors, Jonathan Woetzel, will provide an update on the report and speak on the latest trends in Chinese urbanization including how urban clusters are developing, the move towards sustainability in urban development, and opportunities and implications for business leaders and policy-makers. He will also provide a perspective on how companies can form effective partnerships with cities to support economic and social development.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Jonathan Woetzel is a Director with McKinsey & Company based in Shanghai. In his 25 years with the Firm, Jonathan has advised clients in a range of industries – including energy, materials, technology and industrial – helping transform local companies into global leaders, and developing policy recommendations for government.
