Heavy rains and flooding has caused a number of train delays in various parts of China. The Yangtze River Basin was hit especially hard by heavy rain affecting Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Anhui, and other provinces.

A number of trains have been delayed or canceled due to heavy rains including trains on the following lines: Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon, Wuhan-Macheng, Hefei-Wuhan, Changsha-Jingzhou, Jiaozuo-Liuzhou, Hubei-Handan, Jiaozuo-Liuzhou, Hankou-Danjiangkou, Wuhan-Kowloon, and Yichang-Chongqing Wanzhou. The number of other lines that pass through these high-speed routes may also be affected.

A number of trains have been cancelled or delayed on the Beijing-Kowloon, Beijing-Guangzhou, and Sichuan-Guizhou routes because of severe water damage in areas of the track.
