Dutch Artist to “Vacuum up” Beijing’s Air Pollution

According to a CNN report, Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde reached an agreement with the Beijing government to have city parks undergo a test that should see the city’s air pollution be “vacuumed” away. Roosegaarde is planning to use copper tubing to create a local magnetic field that should attract air-borne contaminates to the ground below. At present, results have been encouraging in an indoor test. Roosegaarde said that the purpose of this plan is to raise awareness about the air pollution in Beijing.
