Dust Storms & Snowstorms to Hit Inner Mongolia, North China This Week

A cold front is coming to Inner Mongolia, North China, and Northeast China from the evening to March 31 until April 3. Temperatures will drop to 8-10˚C—some areas will see a drop of 12-14˚C. The three regions will experience strong winds, cold air, and precipitation

Southern North China will experience a temperature drop from 6-8˚C. Temperatures during the day will drop down to 12-16˚C, and temperatures at night will reach 6-10˚C. Areas north of the Yangtze River will experience 4 to 6 gale force northerly winds, and 7 to 8 force gusts.

On March 31, central and western Inner Mongolia, western Liaoning, and western Jilin will experience dust storms.

From March 31 to April 1, northeastern Inner Mongolia and northwestern Heilongjiang will have moderate to heavy snow overnight. Snowfall will be an average of 5 to 10 cm, and up to 15 cm in some areas.
