This October, the theatrical presentation of High School Musical will be on stage at the Chongqing Grand Theater and it is sure to be an explosive hit. The play based on the Disney TV movie will be staged eight times from October 18th to the 23rd. The film version is likely the Disney Channel's most successful television movie to date – with a record-breaking 270 million viewers worldwide. High School Musical also won two Emmy awards, and nine of the movie’s songs made it into the Billboard Top 100. Because of the high standard of equipment required for the performance, the High School Musical Chinatour will be limited to 5 cities: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Wuhan and Beijing.
