On January 1st, the “Disney” Ice and Snow Festival opened at the Silk Road International Ski Resort in Urumqi, Xinjiang province. Visitors to the festival can expect to “meet” Mickey Mouse and his friends and Snow White in the snow scenes. This is also an opportunity for visitors to see and appreciate the largest snow sculptures in China thus far – “the Silk Road.”
The ticket price for the festival is 100 RMB and enables visitors an all-access pass to the entertainment facilities both on ice and land, such as the ice slide, skiing field and bumper cars. The festival will continue until February 20th.
Getting there: Take shuttle buses from Urumqi Zhongqiao Bus Station at Huanghe Lu, to the resort at 09:10, 11:30 or 17:00
