The construction of railways in the eastern section of Northeast China began in Jan. 2009.


The construction of railway passage in the eastern section of Northeast China is an important basic project for rejuvenating Northeast China and other old industrial bases. The passage is from Dalian of Liaoning in the south, via Dandong of Liaoning, Tonghua and Tumen of Jilin and to Mudanjiang of Heilongjiang, at the total length of 1380 km.
