Feminists beware! Guilin Merryland Park, a large amusement park similar to the Disney parks, will give half-price admission in July and August to women over 18 years old wearing skirts shorter than 38 cm. The discounted ticket is only 55 RMB per scantily clad woman, while on July 21-22, women wearing mini skirts will be able to enter the park for only 10 RMB before noon. This special summer discount has become a controversial seasonal tradition since its implementation in 2007, with many people finding it distasteful, vulgar and sexist.
